The CORE at Newstead

V Three Studios has partnered with local developers and contractors to revitalize residential housing in the Grove entertainment district, and national media is taking note! The New York Times recently featured one of the modern single-family homes designed by V Three Studios for the CORE @ South Newstead

The featured home in The New York Times’ Real Estate section – 4432 Vista Ave. – is one of forty-six contemporary, high-quality homes that are part of an overall master planned housing project set in motion by Washington University’s School of Medicine and designed by V Three Studios. With open floor plans that work well for entertaining and modern living, the CORE at South Newstead fills the gap in the market for custom homes within the city limits. Details include maintenance free exterior siding, premium windows, vaulted ceilings, custom tile flooring and solid surface countertops.

4432 Vista Ave. gives New Yorkers a glimpse of affordable housing in the in-demand Grove neighborhood, but those looking to stay put in the Empire State are in luck – V3 is licensed in New York, too!

Commerce Bank | Natural Bridge Renovation

Commerce Bank recently celebrated the ongoing transformations to its St. Louis-area branches with a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Natural Bridge branch renovation. Located at 4402 Natural Bridge, this combined renovation and addition is one of the bank’s first local efforts to minimize its footprint while strengthening its presence in a geographic location that is otherwise underserved.

Looking to consolidate its branch locations to a smaller footprint, Commerce Bank turned to V Three Studios to design a branch that could offer up all the bank’s capabilities from a 2,000-square-foot space. Working with the existing 1,200-square-foot space, V3 helped breathe new life into the very small and complex project by updating interior finishes and incorporating tech-enabled consulting rooms that offer video networking capabilities. This brings all the services Commerce Bank has to offer into a single location by allowing the Natural Bridge branch to access additional expertise offered at other branch and office locations.  Picking up on the architectural cues of the existing building, V3 was able to design exterior additions that maintain the integrity of the building’s original aesthetic. The new wings allow interior spaces to be appropriately scaled and provide a more holistic customer experience. With the successful opening of the Natural Bridge branch, Commerce Bank has shown its commitment to reinvesting in the St. Louis City area.

Big River Running Company

Big River Running Company, St. Louis’ premier running and shoe apparel company, will soon break ground on a new, 5,000-square-foot retail store in St. Louis’ Town & Country. With a goal of creating a more sophisticated shopping experience, Big River Running turned to V Three Studios and Studio Strelow to help bring the pilot project concept to life.

The modern design of the store’s interior has several features, including floating waved Corian shoe display walls, a large built-in video display wall for a variety of content, and a custom ceiling feature that is inspired by rivers that have shaped the city of St. Louis. The completion of this store is planned for mid-summer and hopes to expand the new brand and shopping experience.

KTNN 660 AM - The Voice of the Navajo Nation

KTNN 660 AM radio in St. Michaels, Arizona, has proudly served as “The Voice of the Navajo Nation” for over 30 years. Broadcasting from St. Michaels, Arizona, KTNN’s digital capabilities reaches listeners beyond reservation lines, providing Navajo people across the country, and even overseas, with a connection to home. Looking to upgrade its facility and technological capabilities, KTNN experienced a series of unsuccessful starts to designing and building a new broadcast studio before turning to V Three Studios for a solution.

The design of the 9,000-square-foot facility maintains the integrity of the tribe’s traditional culture, yet reflects modern elements that are critical to the station’s purpose of educating, informing and entertaining the Navajo people, many of whom rely on the station as the only source of news and entertainment. The interior features eight studios supporting AM/FM radio and digital broadcast. Glass is incorporated throughout the media center in order to create an open space and direct interface with its listeners. As a community-driven operation, user-friendly technology was installed in order for both older and newer generations of the tribe to be able to use it intuitively. Indigenous wood ceiling elements and textiles were selected by V Three and used in new and interesting ways to maintain visual connectivity to the Navajo culture. These final touches implement V Three’s response towards radio station facility design, establishing KTNN as a force in this dynamic age of media evolution.

Good Fortune: Update

Plans to launch the modern, fast-casual Asian dining concept is back on track as Good Fortune has secured a new home in the popular Botanical Heights neighborhood! V Three Studios will work with restaurateur Corey Smale to bring the concept of Good Fortune to life at its new address located at 1654 Tower Grove Avenue. V3 focused on a simple palette of modern lines and contemporary materials with walnut tables and accents. The main design feature will be the branding of Good Fortune in large-scale neon lights, which is a stark contrast from the simple architectural palette of the 1,310-square-foot space.

CBS Culinary Studio: Update

Located in the heart of downtown Chicago, the CBS Radio Culinary Kitchen Studio offers a completely new approach to a performance studio. V Three Studios worked closely with the forward-thinking radio group to design a 1,100-square-foot restaurant grade culinary studio with the feel of a boutique restaurant. The interior features a 16-foot island, state-of-the-art professional appliances, sleek cabinetry and solid surface countertops. The studio is located on the 9th floor of a skyscraper and incorporating strict commercial ventilation and fire suppression code requirements proved to be an interesting design challenge.

V3 worked with the CBS team to incorporate full-stage lighting and professional AV capabilities to capture a wide variety of cooking segments. 70-inch monitors flank a commercial range and serve as a dynamic backsplash depicting the Chicago skyline, CBS branding, guest chef profiles and more. These unique touches allow CBS Radio to reach new audiences in a non-traditional service model that will certainly leave guests coming back for seconds.

Commerce Bank | Branch Transformation

Recognizing the changing environment of traditional banking, Commerce Bank is in the process of updating several of its existing branches across the region with a focus on integrating new technology. V Three Studios is assisting with the renovation process and exploring new possibilities for the future of Commerce Bank.

One of the biggest innovations in modern banking has been the transition from the traditional teller line towards a more open and personalized style of banking. To achieve this, V Three has designed the first ‘banking pod’ for Commerce Bank, which is currently in use at the new branch located in Pekin, IL. This highly functional banking station serves as an all-in-one teller line that breaks down the traditional barriers and allows for a more personal interaction with customers. By replacing many of the outdated teller line components with innovative new technology, the banking pod offers the flexibility to reposition tellers as personal bankers and marketing experts in order to build the bank’s relationship with its communities in a new way.

This unique design opens up numerous possibilities to maximize branch space, including the addition of coffee lounges and exploration areas, community boards and consulting rooms.
